My name is Fany or Fandjou or Nwamara OLANGALIRE. My first names are respectively of French, Bamiléké (Cameroon) and Igbo (Nigeria) origin.
With all this wealth inherited at birth, I married a prince charming from the Congo. Hence the name OLANGALIRE which means “the one who hopes a lot” in the Shi language (a Bantu language spoken in South Kivu, in the east of the DR Congo).
South Kivu is also the home region of Doctor @denismukwege, 2018 Nobel Peace Prize winner. You can discover it in the famous documentary “The Man Who Fixes Women” which I highly recommend.
Born in Cameroon, I moved to France at the age of 15.
I have a Master degree in molecular and cellular biology obtained in 2013. After my studies at the Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6 or Jussieu), I worked for several years as a clinical research associate in Paris hospitals in gynecology-obstetrics (Port Royal Hospital) then in neuroscience and psychiatry (Sainte Anne Hospital).
Caught between my work and my passions, I decided to continue my terrestrial journey in an artisanal domain, the bakery.
I’m going for it, managing my time according to my priorities, and above all, CHOOSING THE PROJECTS THAT MUST BE CARRIED OUT. In order to do this, I had to earn my CAP in pastry in 2017 along with my old job.
I begin the adventure of independent contractor by creating the brand Paticielle.
And, since I discovered at the age of 30 that Africa had a history… A history that is told, I have made a great passion for African history and cultural heritage. This situation will lead me to create Africa Blossoms.
Today, the adventure continues and the team is slowly growing.
With Africa Blossoms we offer you boxes of African spice cookies with cards that tell you about Africa, its history, its culture and its people.
Africa Blossooms is the brand of African cookies with African spices that tells the story of Africa to curious gourmets from their sofa or their office, the time of a gourmet break.
After several months of design, testing and two confinements, your brand of homemade cultural cookies was launched in November 2020. We started with a pre-order campaign on the participative financing platform Ulule.
“Africa Blossoms” symbolizes flowering, rebirth and elevation. The revelation of the flowers of Africa.
